Theodore Iacobuzio, a well-known industry veteran with more than 30 years’ achievement analyzing, advising and managing in the payments marketplace, has been named Mercator’s Vice President and Managing Director, Research. At his new post he’ll lead Mercator Advisory Group’s team of seasoned payments analysts.
Ted’s extensive background reveals immense industry experience and most recently includes serving as Mercator’s Managing Director of Custom Research and Consulting Services. Prior to this role, Ted spent 14 years at Mastercard in the network’s Insights area, and before Mastercard he founded and managed TowerGroup’s Payments Practice. Earlier in his career at Lafferty Publications, Ted managed the New York desk as well as the editorship of Cards International, and prior to that he consulted for small banks and credit unions at Alex Sheshunoff Management Services.

Ted assumed the role effective June 15, 2020 and commented:
