Mobile banking continues its rapid adoption in 2011, and Twitter is proving to be the servicing channel of choice for many mobile-enabled retail financial firms. In other contexts, usage of Twitter to communicate with customers and stakeholders is noticeably uneven, and sometimes apparently not orchestrated under an enterprise-wide policy. This note reviews Twitter activities of top tier retail banks, as observed online in March 2011.
