Small Business Debit Issuers Should Embrace Relationship-Based Rewards


Many small business debit issues discontinued rewards programs in response to Regulation II, but this isn’t the only option. Debit issuers still looking for new ways to differentiate small business offerings should consider rewards based on a holistic view of a customer’s account relationship. Specifically, no issuers appear to be incenting operational activities with personalized account rewards like adjustments to interest rates on deposits or lines of credit.
