Money Cards: When Is a Prepaid Card Not?


While debit cards have taken on a whole new value in today’s economy, that doesn’t necessarily translate into new consumers flocking to open checking accounts. The evolution of general purpose prepaid cards, from budgeting and remittance tools to transaction accounts has happened. The question is – what’s the traditional financial services market going to do about it?
