EMV Debit: Starting Slowly


By remaining one of last countries to embrace EMV technology, the United States has a better understanding of the challenges and benefits that EMV debit cards can offer. To date, EMV debit strategies in the U.S. market have caused only ripples in the U.S. payment pool. However, with the growing number of applications available to EMV technology and the backing of the four major card networks, EMV debit in the U.S. is more a matter of how than when.
