Debit – College Students And Teens


While the overall percentage of the American population under the age of 21 has dropped between 2010 and 2000, the gross spending of this age group has continued to rise annually. In this Note we’ll examine these demographics’ shopping habits and how they utilize specific payment methods with a focus on debit and prepaid/gift cards among college students and teenagers. In addition, we’ll offer our opinion on long term trends in this sometimes mysterious and misunderstood age group.
