Credit Decisioning and Social Media: To Boldly Go . . . Where?


There are rumors of projects underway to mine the increasing supply of social media data to create new credit decisioning tools. Most of this work is occurring too far from view to provide any indication of the potential predictive value of this data. But assuming there is value, how steep would be the barriers to a new era in credit scoring?
