Card Borrowing’s Decline Slowly Bottoms Out

The release of the Federal Reserve’s preliminary December G19 reading on consumer revolving credit provided a modestly positive ending to an otherwise dismal 2010, and the press applauded. January’s preliminary reading resumed the decline. For now, credit card borrowing appears to be bumping along the bottom.
