Abstract:
When every device around us can be connected, will payment suppliers organize the immersive environment or remain limited to the role of payment enabler?
Payment networks are racing to deploy tokens that will identify users and implement safe payment transactions. But these tokens could do more. Properly coordinated with merchants and service providers that implement proximity detection, tokens can create a choreographed experience for consumers by managing their identity and payments across multiple suppliers.
