Abstract:
Sometimes the merits of a technology are obvious like mobile telephones and word processors. But others demand the right problem and the right provider to make economic sense. Wireless broadband for rural banking applications is one. Despite reliable operation and superior cost parameters, the use of broadband wireless connections to link branch banks together has been limited. Texas-based ERF Wireless is building BankNet for Texas, Louisiana and other states by patiently addressing the concerns of all parties.
