Mercator Advisory Group adds senior executive industry talent to
lead coverage in the emerging payments technologies arena

Mercator Advisory Group today announced the addition of Pradeep Moudgal to lead the company’s Emerging Technologies Service.

Moudgal brings over 25 years of experience in commercial and small-business banking, private banking, marketing, product development and management specializing in treasury management, cards and merchant services, international banking and lending services.

In his new role, Moudgal will focus on dynamics and trends directly impacting the Emerging Technologies space, including customer-facing technologies and core platforms; online payments, P2P, electronic bill presentment and payment, and contactless; retailer technologies and markets; security, authentication, and fraud management; and mobile banking and payments.

The main focus of this role is to provide both advisory and consulting services in how emerging technologies are impacting both the retail and commercial end-user clients of financial institutions and non-bank companies. This includes evaluating the trends in emerging technologies, client-facing technologies and core platforms, ecommerce/online payments, P2P, contactless payments, retailer technologies and markets, online/mobile security, mobile banking and global payments.

Prior to joining Mercator, Moudgal was head of global cards and merchant services at Silicon Valley Bank, executive vice president at Lions Consulting Services, Inc., a vice president for U.S. Central Federal Credit Union, a director of corporate banking for Corillian (Fiserv) Corporation., a vice president for Provident Bank (PNC Bank) and an a vice president for First Commerce Corporation (JP Morgan Chase).

Moudgal earned his Master's in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University, and a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Houston.
