Nicholas (Nick) Bisconti is Director, Primary Research Services at Mercator Advisory Group, where he provides leadership across the firms vertically and industry-oriented primary research services.


Professional Profile

As an entrepreneur, executive marketing research advisor, and educator, Nick has spent close to three decades supporting technology-driven startups and global 500 technology companies, with the most recent 17 years focused on delivering supply-side IT custom research professional services in three key industry sectors; Technology, Financial Services, and Healthcare. He has received multiple peer endorsements for his data analytics capabilities, strategic thinking, and market research acumen as well as top 5 standout skills of Influencer, Connector, Advisor, Stimulator, and Teacher.

Before joining Mercator, Nick held the role of Founder and Executive Marketing Research Advisor at Actionable Insight Research, LLC, a freelance practice started in 2017. Before deciding to launch his entrepreneurial venture, he served as Managing Director of 451 Research | Advisory, a global research and advisory firm. Before 451, Nick was Director of Custom Primary Research Services at International Data Corporation (IDC), a premier global provider of market intelligence, and advisory services where he “cut his teeth” in the discipline of market research services in 2004. In 2011, during a brief client-side opportunity, Nick served as Vice President, Program Director at TD Bank where he led TD’s Retail Credit Risk Data Analytics practice in successfully delivering on a 3-year multimillion-dollar Basel II credit risk regulatory compliance engagement while partnering with retail product line senior executives.

Nick thinks in terms of possibilities and is fantastic at reaching out to his network, key stakeholders and gaining from them a real commitment to act. Whether working within an internal team(s) or with clients on a primary research engagement, Nick establishes relationships and earns people's trust quickly.


Nick holds an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and Business Strategy and teaches as an Adjunct Professor of Business Research Methods at Suffolk University in Boston, MA.
