Laura is an analyst at Mercator supporting the Prepaid and the Debit Practices. She has recently published a report on new banks and co-authored reports on the prepaid value chain and the implications that proposed changes in interchange fee regulations could have for the market.
BackgroundPrevious ExperiencePrior to Mercator, Laura worked as a research fellow at Stockholm Environment Institute, where she supported the development of a water allocation project in the Mara River Basin of Kenya and Tanzania. Additionally, Laura has also worked as a content editor for Slang, an application that teaches English to Latin American professionals. In her role there she focused on the creation and linguistic disambiguation of educational content. EducationLaura has B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an M.A. in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts.
