Account Executive for Mercator Advisory Group

As an Account Executive for Mercator Advisory Group, you will strive to manage and grow an assigned list of accounts and bring in new research and consulting business within a geographic territory. You will build relationships; increase client retention; and continuously works to uncover up-sell opportunities within the existing client base. Travel within the territory is required.

The Account Executive is expected to excel in the followings areas:

Have a solid understanding of the Financial Services Industry; Mercator Advisory Group’s service offerings for research and consulting

Achieve the assigned quota by selling Mercator Advisory Group
s research and consulting services, and maintaining existing client relationships.

Prospect and develop new accounts while maintaining sales and relationships within existing accounts.

Investigate and understand the internal business processes of potential clients; and strategize, present and demonstrate a tailored solution.

Build relationships with key executives (CEO, COO, CFO, CIO and CMO) and key decision makers within the Institutions and Technology Providers.

Have the ability to understand a prospect or client’s business objectives in order to map an appropriate sales strategy.

Desired Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will bring a sales background of 5-10 years of outside sales experience and is proven, top-selling producer. The candidate will have a Bachelors Degree along with a commitment to excellence.

Sr. Analyst - Fraud, Risk & Analytics Advisory Service

Seeking a full-time senior research analyst to support leading, independent payments industry market research and consulting firm. Mercator Advisory Group brings together a team of professional thought leaders experts to deliver actionable advice to payment companies and financial institutions. This position will serve as an addition to Mercator Advisory Group’s Fraud, Risk & Analytics Advisory Service.

In this position, you will become a trusted advisor and thought leader to the industry Mercator Advisory Group serves. Candidate will be responsible for delivering in-depth analysis and comprehensive reports to our customers, interacting with clients, heading consulting engagements and performing public presentations.

The ideal candidate brings significant industry knowledge (at least 5 years) of merchant, acquirer, processor, and/or financial institution retail credit, debit, or prepaid risk. A strong understanding of key payment industry issues including mobile commerce, fraud and risk issues is required. Working familiarity of the vendors serving these markets is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

Five years or more of experience in fraud and risk management related areas.

Compensation consists of a base salary, benefits (health, dental Market research experience highly desirable.

Proven ability to think critically, self-manage projects and publications research and production to deadlines, and the ability to present research findings to senior client leadership are mandatory.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also excel in a team-oriented environment.

Candidate must have proven written and oral communication skills. Report length writing samples are required. A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university is required. An MBA is a plus.

Compensation consists of a base salary, benefits (health, dental, 401) along with a bonus, which is based on performance. Ideally, the candidate will be based in Massachusetts. Mercator Advisory Group is an equal opportunity employer.
